Moore Outdoor Music Festival 2025

There’s something special about a marching contest that feels like more than just a contest. That’s what MOMFest is. On Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Moore Lions Stadium, you’ll see bands bringing their biggest, boldest shows to the field. The atmosphere starts strong in the morning and only grows as the day rolls on.

Here’s the thing: every band marches prelims and every band marches finals. So if you decide to spend the entire day, you’ll catch each group twice. Sometimes it’s fascinating to see how a show changes from afternoon to evening. Other times, it’s just the energy of performing under the lights that makes it all click. Either way, the experience builds in a way that feels different than most other events.

What to Expect

The stands fill with excitement, concessions stay busy, and there’s that hum of anticipation before each band begins. Audience etiquette makes a big difference too, so everyone can enjoy the music without distraction. Stay seated during performances, wait until breaks to enter or exit, and please leave accessible seating available for those who need it. Concessions and water refill stations are available, but outside food and drink are not permitted.

Sometimes the best part of the day is just seeing the variety: big bands, smaller groups, shows that surprise you, moments you weren’t expecting. It’s not just competition, it’s community. And if you’ve never been to MOMFest before, maybe this is the year to give it a try.

Tickets

This year tickets are sold online, which makes things simpler for everyone. You can pull them up on your phone at Will Call, get your wristbands, and head right in.

Pricing is straightforward:

  • 5 and under (Full Day) = Free!

  • Moore Public Schools employees and students (Full Day) = $5

  • Ages 6–10 (Full Day) = $6

  • Ages 11 and up (Full Day) = $20

One ticket covers the whole day, prelims and finals, so you don’t have to choose when to come. It’s a full-day experience.

Extras

Beyond the performances, MOMFest offers a few ways to make the day even more memorable. In addition to picking up your pre-ordered band patches and commemorative shirts, additional items are available for purchase and be sure to vote for your fan favorite or send a shoutout that will be read during the event. It’s a nice way to take a piece of the festival home or let a student know you’re cheering for them.

Between preliminaries and finals, feel free to explore Moore. From local restaurants to family-friendly activities, there are plenty of ways to enjoy your time outside the stadium before returning for the evening performances. Whether you grab a quick meal, stroll through a park, or just take a break to recharge, the city offers convenient options to make the most of your day at MOMFest.

Parking

Parking for MOMFest should be part of the fun, not the frustration. We’ve lined up several on-campus and nearby options, and every official lot will be clearly marked so you can spend less time circling and more time cheering.

Not every lot around the stadium is fair game, though. A few areas and private lots are off-limits, and we’ve marked those clearly on the parking map too. Take a minute before you roll in to check the map so you can head straight to the right spot.

If a lot fills up, don’t worry. Just use your best judgment when picking another space and be kind to our neighbors by steering clear of in-use business and private parking areas. They’ve either supported MOMFest year after year, or we want them to, and respecting their spaces helps us keep that good relationship going strong.

A little planning, a quick glance at the map, and a dash of neighborly respect will keep parking easy so you can focus on what really matters: a full day of music, excitement, and memories at MOMFest.

MOMFest Policies

Tickets
  • Each General Admission ticket (wristband) provides full day access (prelims and finals).

  • A mobile ticket is required for Will Call pick up.

  • Moore PS ID is required to pick up Student & Moore PS Employee wristbands.

  • All ticket sales are final. No refunds are available.

  • Moore PS Employee IDs and OSSAA Passes are not valid for free entry.

Seating
  • All unreserved seating is open. Reserved seating is clearly marked. Please refrain from sitting in reserved seats.

  • Saving large blocks of seats is discouraged. Small groups may save seats for immediate family, but please be considerate of other guests.

  • Accessible seating is available in designated areas. Please leave these areas open for those who need them.

General Etiquette
  • Outside food and beverages, except water, are not permitted.

    • Concessions and water refill stations are available. Please stay nourished and hydrated!

  • Do not enter, leave, or move around in the stands during performances.

    • This is especially distracting to the band on the field and those around you. Please do that in between performances. The performances are less than 8 minutes. Most competitions will have monitors to prevent exit and entry, including this one. The people asking you to wait at the entrance to the stands are parent volunteers. Please be kind and just wait.

    • Keep walkways, aisles, and stairways clear at all times. Tripods, monopods, or large recording equipment are not allowed in aisles or seating areas where they block views.

  • Do not use noisemakers.

    • This is extremely important at all Marching Competitions. They may distract the performers and could even impact a band’s score if the judge is unable to hear the music. Applauding enthusiastically for all bands during a performance is encouraged and may be especially appropriate after a solo or when the band or color guard achieves a particularly striking effect. Music judges are almost always outside of the press box near the center of the stadium. If you are sitting directly below this area, please be extremely aware of your noise level throughout our performance and the entire competition.

  • Do not talk in the stands during performance.

    • This is a serious distraction to them and the people around you. Your conversation can wait until a band is not on the field. Remember this is just like a performance at a concert hall. Refraining from conversations during a performance makes it easier for everyone around you to hear what’s coming from the field.

  • Please silence your devices.

    • If you receive a call during a performance, please wait until that performance is over before returning the call.

  • Respect every band that takes the field.

    • We applaud every band that takes the field. Remember, those kids have worked just as hard as your kid, and they all deserve it!

  • Keep your comments positive.

    • Even if you didn’t like a band’s performance, remember they’ve worked hard on it. Those other parents around you might be the parents or friends of the kids in the band you were just talking about. Always keep a positive attitude regarding EVERY band. Band is a family, even in competition. Negative comments can reflect poorly on your school’s band program.

  • Throw away your trash.

    • We have several trash receptacles locations around our campus. Please use them.
